Life is always crazy when kids are teething. I’m pretty sure I’m running on just a couple hours of sleep, but I felt so productive in the middle of the night! I was finding some inspiration via Pinterest (follow me here!) at 2 in the morning and I seriously am not complaining!
Who would have thought I could feel productive in the middle of the night when everyone else was asleep! I was searched for “simple homes” and “simplicity”. A bunch of different random pictures came up, but what I noticed about the homes were that they all had plants in them. Like a typical mom zombie does, I started Googling all the benefits of live plants. The only live plants I have are a few cacti that sit in the kitchen window. All my succulents died when I brought them in for the winter which was when I pretty much felt like I was a green thumb failure.
So I discover that you can buy LIVE plants on Amazon. WHAT IN THE WORLD?! I saw this black snake plant found here. I was intrigued by the fact that it said “almost impossible to kill”. So there’s 100% chance that I’ll kill it, perfect. *Clicks add to cart. These have 35 reviews and are actually decent, I’m still blown away! I add a few other items to my cart and BAM! I’m officially ready to be the next plant lady.

This morning I was at our weekly Friday coffee date with my friends. I was telling them how I had bought live plants on Amazon (real adult talk here) and my friend Hilary thought I said I bought “life plans” on Amazon. DEAD! The best part was I didn’t realize she thought that, so I responded “yeah, I’ll let you know how it turns out!” I’m seriously still laughing thinking about it. Can you even imagine being able to buy life plans? My life plan would be like oh, and this night you won’t sleep! So you’ll Google the benefits of real houseplants like a crazy person, spend over $100 on Amazon on “almost impossible to kill” plants and proceed to tell your friends about your exciting life.
Will the plants survive? How many plants will we end up with? Will I continue to Google & Pinterest houseplant benefits? Who will eat the dirt?Stay tuned…
