If you follow me on Instagram, you might have saw my brief story about Rhett eating my birth control. He ate three of them and I honestly panicked. I called Derek crying, telling him I was afraid Rhett was going to turn into a girl. Spoiler: he didn’t.
One of my best friends is a pharmacist and she told me to call poison control. It probably sounds obvious to some, but calling poison control was not my initial thought. I swear in these panic moments I end up going all FBI and Googling everything.
I called poison control and was on hold. This oddly made me feel good, knowing other people possibly had accidentally poisoned their kids. I felt like I wasn’t the only one. I talked to Grant, a poison control pharmacist. I explained to him how I had been praying for God to give me a sign if we should have more kids or not. I know some might take that as a sign we should, considering my birth control was eaten, but I took it as a sign we shouldn’t. Hey you, over there! You don’t have your life together, your kid is popping birth control pills like it’s his job. Definitely shouldn’t have more kids.
Grant calmly told me he’d be fine, he might just have an upset tummy and puke all over, no big deal. Oh, sorry Grant, do you have kids? Are they puking all over? Anyway, he told me he would be fine and I would be fine, but told me to make sure I didn’t miss taking my pills. I took that as a sign that I probably shouldn’t have more kids too. A random pharmacist named Grant telling me I should keep taking my birth control pills was probably a clear sign from God.
I don’t have a picture of him eating the pills (I do have the pill pack though, I should have shared the picture of all the missing ones), but I had snapped this picture because I ordered this giant sign from Smallwoods. I know I shared it before but it still cracks me up that he photobombed it while holding the plunger.
This plunger is Rhett’s sacred toy. He carries it everywhere and if you put it back, he will find it. Sometimes he will play with the plunger and the toilet brush. It’s kind of just an unwritten rule in our house that those are Rhett’s toys. We don’t use them, and I always worry someone will need to someday and Rhett will miss the memo!
The picture of the boys on the wall was maybe $45 and is huge. It’s really lightweight, so if it falls off the wall and hits someone in the head it won’t hurt too bad. It was definitely worth the $!
I had saved something on Pinterest where she took pictures of her girls and ordered big prints for the wall. I did the same with the boys and the poster prints and frames came this week! I’ll post about it when Derek gets them hung up! He loves when I ask him to put more holes in the wall.
We’re on snow day #3 and I think we’re about all crazy. Derek still goes into work, which means it’s more time for me and the boys! It’s so fun having Ryne at home all day and I’m dreading Reed going back to 3-yr old preschool because he has gotten used to being home now.
The boys LOVE these bath jellies found here and the squigz found here! If you are looking for great bath toys these are my favorites! They don’t get moldy inside and they want to take a bath to build things with them! Another favorite (that you can’t see in the tub here) are the superhero sinking toys! You can find them here.
My pajama pants I can’t find on the site anymore which is SO sad. They are so comfortable and I love the elastic on the ankles. I always read the reviews and look at the pictures. I thought that these looked short in the picture and the reviews agreed, so I ordered them in longs. I’m so glad I did because I can roll the band!
To shop my Instagram pictures, I created a tab on my blog! You can find it here. You can bookmark it so it’s easier to find, or you can find it at the top of the site under “Shop My Pictures”. I don’t get credit for purchases made in apps. They have to be purchased in a browser, so if you are on your phone don’t use the AE app, Abercrombie, Target, etc., make sure you’re in a browser!
I really don’t watch football very much, we are more of a baseball family, but here I am silently telling you who I’m rooting for in the super bowl. I’ve always liked the Patriots and realize that most of my life Tom Brady has been their quarterback. He definitely has a God given talent and I think it would be hard to not root for him. But no matter what happens, I know we all watch it mostly for the commercials and half time show!
Whoever thought fanny packs should come back in style deserves an award. Not sure why they ever went out of style really. These things are one of the best inventions for moms! No more trying to find my purse, you can just find it packin’ on my fanny!
