It’s hard to believe that this ornery, sweet loving ninja guy is going to be four this weekend! I thought he looked so cute as a little baby, but Derek said he was definitely the ugliest baby! He looked like a little old man. I had to dig out a picture to show you all!
Wrinkly to the bone! The little tiger was born at 37 weeks and weighed a whopping 9 pounds! He screamed so loud when he was born, Derek said to the nurse, “Put him back in there, I don’t think he’s done yet.” NOT EVEN KIDDING!
He was born the day before the 10th anniversary of my dad’s passing. I think it’s all Godly..there’s always something happy to celebrate this time of the year now! He also looks exactly like my dad, he is goofy like him, he loves wearing hats, he eats the same foods… I don’t necessarily believe in reincarnation but it really makes you wonder!
Check out this picture of my dad as a little tot. If it wasn’t for the outfit and the brownish picture, I would have thought it was Reed!
Here are some more of my favorite pictures throughout Reed’s tot years!
I got to this picture and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t teary. Time goes by so fast and I know everyone feels that it’s robbing them too. Sometimes you look back and think, wow..I thought it was so hard but gosh I miss it. He had so many ear problems with ear infections, tubes and a hearing aid. He honestly was such a hard little guy and I remember calling my mom one day asking her if you could die from a lack of sleep, but I sure would give a whole lot to go back and relive all of it.
He’s the most loving, compassionate and funny little man. As much as he makes me want to go crazy he makes me want to hug him endlessly. He has the most tender heart and is always upset when his brothers are in trouble.
I started this post just wanting to share Reed’s birthday wishlist, and I ended up traveling down memory lane, getting lost and wanting to stay. I have so many hopes and dreams for my boys. I hope that they’re always kind and I dream that they’re always happy. I always want them to know that they can do whatever it is in life, as long as it’s legal! I don’t want them to get my negative qualities. The ones you see them slowly pick up and you’re like dang it, you aren’t supposed to do that! I want them to too never take life too seriously and always have God in their life. So many more hopes and dreams for them that I know other parents want for their kids too.
Now that I’ve wiped my foggy eyes and snotty nose, here’s Reed’s list!
This little ninja is running into his fourth birthday weekend! It will be filled with the new Lego Movie, some Hulk balloons, a cake and some presents!
Happy 4th Birthday Reedster. We all love you so much.
