Ryne turned SIX on Sunday and it still feels me with so many emotions. Everyone always tells you to enjoy it because it goes so fast and I’m starting to think I don’t want the reminder because it’s really giving my heart all the feels!
He loves building and often asks me if I think he’s a “master builder”. Legos and Megatiles are two of his most commonly plaid with toys. He also loves drawing and crafts! Every time I go to throw little pieces of paper away he reminds me that scraps can be used for other projects, lol! He loves pizza, popcorn and pretzels and is the sweetest big brother!
Melissa & Doug Reusable Sticker Pad: These definitely are reusable stickers, if you don’t try sticking them on your shirt, your brother’s shirt, your other brother’s face, etc. I love everything Melissa & Doug and am a big fan of their crafty items for Ryne.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse: This is the most watched movie in our house right now. At least once a day it’s playing (sometimes twice..and one day it was *gulp, three times). The boys have been doing Spidey moves daily.
The Lego Movie 2 for Nintendo Switch: I’m a huge fan of the Lego games for the Nintendo. I feel like if there’s any educational value on the Switch it’s in the Lego games. You find pieces, build items & save all the Lego people!
Lego Book: We have so many Lego sets now but most of them aren’t put together. Ryne loves building his own Lego creations and this book keeps the possibilities endless!
The Lego Movie 2 Emmet’s House: See what I mean when I said he loves Lego’s? I loved this set because it has two instruction booklets for you to make the house two different ways!
Gravity Maze: Another fun STEM game to challenge his little brain! You can find all STEM games here!
His birthday list is easy now that all he wants is Lego’s! Since they cost a fortune, I can just snag a couple sets and call it good! I only get the boys two or three presents for their birthday-in my quest to become a minimalist. Most of the things they want all have a spot already and can get tossed in the bucket!
Here’s a few of my favorite pictures. Of course there’s really a million that I like, but just wanted to share a few!
I hope everyone has a great Friday! I’m going to be crazy and fold laundry AND put it away tonight. I’ve been scolded by a six year old who can’t find any underwear. I spent an hour sorting the laundry into each person’s pile, if that’s any indictor of how much laundry I have-yikes! I seriously want to enjoy doing laundry like Marie Kondo, but I just can’t!
I always get so excited for spring because there’s less socks worn, which means less socks to match! I hope everyone’s weekend is full of no missing socks!
